Tania’s School of Ballet was established in 1996. Based in Parkview, Johannesburg, Tania’s philosophy of teaching is to impart the love of dance through the Cecchetti Ballet Method to all her pupils.

There is a high level of enjoyment in her classes, building discipline and self-motivation within the art form. Nurturing an inclusive environment where pupils work hard and have fun.

In addition, from 12 years old, the girls have the opportunity to receive contemporary dance classes with an expert outside teacher.

Tania took up the post of the ballet teacher at Auckland Park Preparatory School (APPS) in 1997 and continues to teach there.

Adding to her portfolio, in 2023, Tania became the ballet teacher at St Katharine’s School, Parktown – she also teaches at Riviera Nursery School (Melrose) and has done so since 2010.

Tania designed and built a stunning ballet studio at her Parkview home where the majority of her classes now take place. The pupils at the studio are drawn from diverse range of different schools across the northern suburbs of Johannesburg.

A key highlight of the ballet calendar in October of each year is when Tania produces a full length show production for all pupils from Grade 1 upwards perform. The students participate in 3 performances at the Lesedi Theare @ Joburg Theatre Complex. This is a wonderful opportunity for each student to experience working together on stage before an audience, complete with make-up and costumes.
